Innovation Agencies in Africa Network

Since 2014, the Sankalp Africa Summit has connected entrepreneurs, investors, governments, donors, and corporations to catalyze collaborations and drive sustainable solutions.

The IAA Network Peer Learning Exchange connects member innovation agencies across Africa through structured, peer-led learning visits. This year's programme takes place from April to June 2026.

The second IAA Steering Committee meeting at TIA offices in Pretoria reaffirmed collective commitment to strengthening continental innovation coordination, reviewed progress, aligned priorities for 2026, and advanced collaboration across member agencies and partners.

Dr. Omwansa, Head of Secretariat, Jacobine Amutenya, and Professor Kraemer-Mbula shared updates on the IAA Network’s progress, emphasizing peer learning and collaboration across Africa.

The IAA Network Policy & Innovation Training Workshop 2025 empowers member countries to align policies, enhance innovation ecosystems, and master monitoring tools through collaborative sessions, case studies, and practical exercises.

At the CEIL Summit in Mombasa, IAA Network Coordinator Sheila Solomon highlighted strategies for breaking cross-border barriers, fostering collaboration, and enabling African innovations to scale through regional bodies and partnerships.
